2.   Know your “why”

You will never be able to stop procrastinating if you can’t figure out what triggers you in the first place therefore you need to know the following;

-When do you procrastinate? Think of the situations during which you are prone to procrastinate and note them down.

-How do you procrastinate? This refers to what you do when you decide to procrastinate e.g. watch TV, sleep, and scroll through your Instagram feed. Etc.

-Why do you procrastinate? Think of why you always feel like procrastinating. Does a particular task bore you? Are you scared, feeling anxious? Knowing what triggers you will help you determine what anti-procrastination technique will suit you best.

3.   Draw up a plan

Once you have figured out what your goal(s) is/are and you know what triggers you, the next step is to set a plan of action to make this habit go away. This involves using an anti-procrastination technique that matches your problem. Here’s a list of some effective techniques:
